My mom gave me a home perm when I was 10 or 11. My normal hair was honey blonde with a slight wave. After the perm, I looked like a dandelion gone to seed. I cried!

My mom did that with my Barbie without the braids! I cut my Barbie’s hair and I was so sad I have ADHD but it wasn’t diagnosed at the time. My mom knew I didn’t do it on purpose and I was sad so she pulled a black silk fabric and made it one night my Barbie had the perfect hair and it never went bad I love my mom so much 🥺🥺🥺

Good hairdressers listen and look at reference pictures, advise you on the style if it suits your face shape and hair texture. A good hairdresser will implement they style to replicate as close as possible to what you want. A bad hairdresser does not give a shite, has no skills to implement your referenced style and you end up looking worse than a newly shorn sheep.

Yea, I don’t even have enough fingers to count how many times this has happened to me! I gave up on going to Salons… If imma look like ish, ill do it myself for free! And don’t tell me you get what you pay for because I’ve paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars to look like ish!
